Dolphins on Strike (look and listen!!! they have a Message)

dolphins-on-strike1

Authorities were surprised by the sheer number of dolphins stranded in the province. It was not uncommon in the Philippines for dolphins and whales to be stranded in shallow shorelines, but this is the first time that over 300 were beached at the same time.

At around 3:30 pm, all the dolphins have left the shoreline and swam towards the high seas. However, three dolphins died, including a female pregnant dolphin.

listen to their simple message: STOP DESTROYING THEIR ENVIRONMENT! STOP KILLING THEM!

God said; Trust me, Trust me again

jesus_hands

(Rachel Hope Jurilla)

God longs for a heart like of a child who trusts Him and Him alone.

Dr. David Baxter was a young and excellent doctor in Toronto Canada. He was so dedicated to his job. He would always do his best for his patients and clients he would always make sure that they are well taken care of. Because of his good service to his patients and clients, he became famous. A good hospital hired him as a surgeon. He became successful in his job through the years, so people trust him. All of the praise and compliments made him believe that he could do better that anyone. He trusts nobody but himself, worst, he even forgot that all his knowledge and wisdom came from God. He put him at the least on his list.

One day a couple came rushing to the hospital, the father was carrying his 5-year-old unconscious son, while the mother was crying asking the doctor to help them. When the doctor examined the child, he found out that the child has a hole on his heart since he was born. He is lucky to reach the age of five being alive, his condition was fatal, and the child will die soon if his heart will not be replaced. He needed a heart transplant, and it has to be done as soon as possible.

The next day the doctor visited the child. The child greeted him cheerfully, “hi doctor, mom and dad told me that you’ll be an instrument of God to make me better” the doctor was quite annoyed at what the child said so he decided to scare the child a bit to make him feel how serious his condition was. “Maybe” the doctor replied “but to do that, first, I have to cut your chest open to take off your heart.” The doctor told the kid. “Ok, then you’ll find Jesus there” the kid responded. The doctor was more annoyed with the kids brave reply “after I take off you heart I will replace it with a new one, then I’ll close your chest again aren’t you scared of that?” the doctor curiously asked the child. “No, because I know you’ll find Jesus there, he will help you heal me, and he will never leave my side.” The kid replied… “Wow I can see you’re very brave, may I ask why? Was it because you trust your doctor to make you better? The doctor asked teasingly. “Well I do trust you, and I have faith in God I know He will never fail me” the kid replied. The doctor sighed in irritation, smiled at the child and left his room. Days past the child and his parents prayed for a heart donor for their son. The child gets weaker and weaker as days past. The situation became frustrating for the doctor, for he doesn’t want to fail.

3 days after the child was brought to the hospital another patient was brought in the hospital. The patient was a kid to; he was hit by a car. He was rushed to the operating room for he needs a surgery so the doctor rushed in the room immediately. To his surprise the kid was his 7-year-old nephew. He was so shock to see his nephew full of blood on his face. The operation was 8 hours long. But the patient didn’t survived, for his wounds are fatal and the doctor cannot save him. When he went out of the operating room he doesn’t know what to say to his sister the kid’s mom and his family. The doctor can’t take what happened, for that was the first time he had failed on a surgery and worst on his own beloved nephew. When he reached his office, he cried bitterly, what went wrong? He asked himself. I did my best to save his life, but I failed. People said that I’m the best, but why didn’t I save him. My own nephew he was so kind and a sweet kid, now his gone forever.

That night when he drove his way home, thoughts of anger and regrets run through his head. All the memories of his moment with his nephew run through his mind over and over. He was reminded of his past memories. He has a good Christian family, the one who always honor God above all things. His nephew was the youngest in there family and the source of joy. Like the other kid his nephew believes in God and trusts Him so much. He cried and cried “God he believes in you, why didn’t you save him?”

Till a thought arouse on his mind “kill yourself and your problems will be over.”  So he decided to crash his car to an old building. He paused for a moment stepped in to it, and drove fast directly to the wall. But before he could reach the wall an old man crossed in front of his car. He turned into the other direction, his car stopped by the bushes on the opposite side of the wall. The old man fell to the ground in fear that the car might crush him. The doctor was shocked on what happened, he went out of the car and helped the old man. The old man said he has no wound or anything except that his butt was aching. The doctor helped him and lead him to his car. The old man said just send me to my home not far from here. His home was a block away from the area.

The old man invited him in for a cup of coffee. “It seems to me like your trying to kill yourself a while ago.” The old man said. David sighed and said “not really”. “Anything bothering you kid?” The old man asked. “I know I’m old but maybe I could give you some small advice to help you out.” The old man said. “There’s nothing you can do, to change my failures, I failed to save him.” He said sobbingly. “I hate myself for being such a failure.” David added. “I see I understand son but sometimes we need to experience failure in order to understand success you know, how can you make things right if you can’t go wrong? And sometimes if we are always on top we forget our maker the one who gave us knowledge and wisdom in order to achieve things.” The old man said. “What do mean? I did my best to reach the top. I did it all by myself.” David replied. “I see you trust yourself too much. Put so much effort in everything you do and lean upon yourself only, that’s why you became helpless and weak and when the storm came into your life you crushed to the ground. Just like the foolish man who built his castle on the sand, where there is no firm foundation.” The old man said. “Are you telling me that I’m foolish? If I would do a self checked I believe I build a good foundation for my future.” David justified. “What foundation son? Yourself?” the old man asked. “Yes, I made all things possible by trusting on myself.” David replied annoyingly. “But still you were easily swept away when a storm came. Son there is no more firm foundation than God. And there is no other way to survive a storm in life than to lean on God and trust him.” The old man said. “Trust him?” David asked himself.

The old man’s words struck David’s heart like a lightning. He closed his eyes and visualized the words. It made him realize that, before he became successful he trust no one but God, that trust became a firm foundation, that built a life that is not easily swept away by a storm and made him successful in everything he did, but after he became famous and reached the top of his success. He started to forget about God, and series of failures happened. “You know son everything happens for a reason. Note to self that everything that God allows to come our way is with a purpose he uses even the greatest failure and the deepest hurt to mold us into a person of worth and value.”

The old man’s old and croaky voice changed into a soft and warm voice that comforted David’s heart. Then the old man held David’s hand, His hands are so warm but he sensed that there was a big scar on his palm. To his curiousness he opens his eyes to see what’s on the old mans palm. There was a scar in his palm indeed, a big hole like being wounded and crushed through by a huge nail. He’s heart skipped a bit as he saw the scar. The man then said “son God works out into your life in mysterious ways only to tell you that hey I’m here for you always. So trust me David, trust me again. David couldn’t look up; all he ever did was cry in repentance. “Forgive me my Lord, please forgive me for putting you on the least priority in my life. Thank you for saving me once more. Now I realized I am nothing without you. From now on I will trust you like a little child I will always lean on you for in my weakness you were always strong. Give me a new heart a heart that follows your will. Amen. When David opened his eyes the man vanished. He was back in his car. David was panting in amazement. He couldn’t believe what just happened.

His phone rang and broke the silence. When he answered the phone, a good news came to him. The kid has a heart donor. David drove back to the hospital. When he arrived at the hospital he examined the child once more, and decided to do the surgery at once. The operation took a long time to be done. The operation was successful, and the kid will live. After the operation David’s sister informed him about the heart’s donor; it was his nephew a child with a big heart that keeps Jesus in it.

A week after the kids operation, the kid has finally recovered. The doctor then visited him. The kid asked so did you cut my heart open? “Yes” the doctor replied. So what did you saw? The kid asked. “I found Jesus there.”

OJT Narrative Report

call-center-16

Now-a-days Call Center is the top rating job Philippines, because of the trend of outsourcing business. Last summer I decided to spend OJT on a call center. THOTW Contact Solutions stated their call center business early this year.

On May 2008 I worked at THOTW Contact Solutions as an on-the-job trainee call center agent. As a trainee here are the things that I’ve learned about being a call center agent.

·         The time zone of this job is different from the other jobs. The employees have to start working 3 O’clock in the morning, for they have to ride on with the time zone of the states that they are calling. We start our work at 3o’clock in the morning. We called a certain outbound account from 3am-12pm.

·         The agent’s has to have a good English communication skill to be able to communicate well with the customer that they are calling to.

·         They got to have a proper product knowledge to sell the product well o0r make a good appointment with their customer, and also to be able to answer some of the costumers question about the certain product that you are selling to them.

·         The agent must never sound salesy, or sounds like they are really calling the costumer to sell something.

·         The agent has to build rapport with their customer to make the customer trust them.

·         Most of the time the agent cannot make a sale or an appointment at one call transaction only. For there are costumers that has to make the decision with their family or spouses that the agent has to be required to call back. So during the series of call backs that agent has to do some probing.

Inuyasha

inuyasha

“Inuyasha” takes place in feudal Japan. The story begins with Kikyou shot Inuyasha with her arrow and sealed him to a tree. She then died and her body was burned along with the Shikon Jewel. Then it shifted to current Japan. Kagome and her family lived on ancient ground of an old well. On her 15th birthday, she was pulled into the well by a centipede demon. After she got out of the well, she was in feudal Japan. She then saw a boy with dog ears pinned to a tree. A group of people showed up and thought that she was a demon in disguise. They captured her and brought her to the town priestess, Kaede. Kaede noticed that Kagome resembled her late sister, Kikyou. Later that night, the centipede demon attacked the village looking for Shikon Jewel. Kagome ran back to the forest. At that time, Inuyasha woke up because he smells the blood of the woman who killed him. The demon attacked Kagome and jewel felt out of her stomach. Kagome was desperate to stay alive, so she pulled the arrow out of Inuyasha, freeing him. Inuyasha killed the centipede demon, then demanded the jewel for himself. Kaede helped Kagome by placing a spell necklace around Inuyasha. All Kagome had to say was “sit” and Inuyasha will fall to the ground. Kaede said that Kagome is the reincarnation of her sister, Kikyou. Now, it is her job to protect the jewel. A crow demon later stole the jewel. While fighting it, Kagome broke the jewel with her arrow. The jewel fragments scattered everywhere. Kaede said that Inuyasha and Kagome have to work together to collect the jewel, because Kagome is the only one who can see/sense the fragments.

This would be a somewhat of an easy task, except for the fact that every demons and some humans are also after the jewel. The real excitement begins when Inuyasha’s older brother, Sesshoumaru, showed up and wanted to kill Inuyasha. Thing starts to really heat up when Kikyou was brought back to life by a demon. Then Inuyasha and company found out about a demon named Naraku, who was responsible for Kikyou and Inuyasha’s deaths 50 years ago. Inuyasha’s new goals are to collect the jewel and destroy Naraku. Along the road, more people joined the group to destroy Naraku. The first was a little fox demon named Shippou. They then met up with a corrupt priest, Miroku. Last, a demon exterminator, Sango, also joined their quest to find the jewel and kill Naraku.

College Life

I’ve already spent 6 years in college. I’ve been through 3 different schools in college and had 3 different courses, but then at last I’ll be graduating this March 2009. Well I just hope nothing bad will happen to mix up my race to the finish line.

Let’s start from the first school a attended on. ACLC (AMA Computer Learning Center)

I took up Computer System Design and Programming, a two year course. I learned a lot about programming stuff, and computer basics. After I graduated, I decided to get a job. I applied on a fast food company (Greenwich) I stayed in the job for about 2 months only, cause my mom decide that I should proceed on to a bachelor course, cause it would be easier for me to get a decent job if I graduate in a 4 year course.

I was sent to my 2nd school Foundation University in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental. I took up Bachelor in Science in Information Technology (BSIT). This school was great. In just a year and a half that I’ve stayed there I learned a lot. My teachers, classmates and friends were great. I learned to speak “cebuano”. I’ve joined different organizations. Inside the school we were required to speak in English. Everything about me was enhanced and developed in that school. The school was great and so as the tuition fees and other expenses, cause I’m far away from home.

While I was there I really have to get a job while I’m studying. On my early months I had 3 job at once all part times, cause I’m still a student, that’s why I always came home late. My last job while I was there was in a fast food company again (Jollibee) I worked a graveyard shift that was 12mn till 6am and I got class at around 8am. I only slept for about 2-4 hours a day while I was there. That daily routine affected my health as well as my studies. I got sick and had absences on my class, but I have no choice, without work I cannot afford my needs for school and other basic stuff. Because of my critical condition in there, my mom decide to let me go back home and just study here in Roxas.

Filamer Christian College is my 3rd school, here I am now taking up Bachelor in Science in Computer Science. The funny thing about it was, every level of my educational background, FCC will always be found, I guess being a filamerian really has to be my fate.

This is one of my favorite quote from my favorite movie. “StarDust”

“You know when I said I knew a little about love. That wasn’t true I know a lot about love. I’ve seen it. I’ve seen centuries and centuries of it. That’s the only thing that make watching your world bearable. With all of those wars, pain lies and hate, make me want turn around and never look down again. But to see the way that man kind loves. You can search the farthest riches of the universe and never find anything more beautiful. So yes, I know that love is unconditional, but I also know it can be unpredictable, unexpected, uncontrollable, unbearable and strangely easily to mistake for loading what I’m trying to say Tristan is that, I think I love you. My heart it feels like my chest can barely contain it, like it doesn’t belong to me anymore it belongs to you. And if you want it, I wish for nothing in exchange. No gifts no goods, no demonstrations of devotions, nothing but knowing you love me too, just your heart in exchange for mine.”

The Guardian

(Rachel Hope Jurilla)

A parent’s ultimate goal is to see their children happy, and to keep them safe at all times, in all cost willing to give us everything we need.

There was couple who has been married for years, but couldn’t have a child of their own. Both of them prayed earnestly to the Lord to grant them a child to make them a family. One winter morning, the couple heard a knock on their door. When the wife opened it she was a bit disgust and scared on what she saw, a thin, rugged dressed man was standing on there doorstep, with a baby on his arms. With his shaking voice he begged the woman to take the child in exchange for $50,000, for he badly needs it.

The couple who was longing for a child immediately gave him what he wants, and took the child in. She was a beautiful yet malnourished baby. The couple was overjoyed. They adopted the child and love her as their own and they gave her everything she needs.

The child grew up to be an intelligent and talented young girl. When she was five, her parents discovered that their daughter has a very good singing voice. As the child grows many were amazed by her talent. She then joined different contest and won many award. Her parents love her so they supported their daughter’s talent. As the child reached her teenage years, she became a beautiful young lady, many adored her. She was discovered by a talent manager and made her an artist. Her song was adored by many and she became famous. Her parents saved the money that she earned for her future.

One day, the girls talent manager told her that she was invited to sing to a major event on a near by state in 3 days from now. Her parent can come with her to support her. The night before the flight, while the girl and her parents excitedly pack their things, getting ready for their flight the next day. An uninvited visitor knocked on their door. The husband was the one who opened it. The husband was so surprise to see a familiar face. The biological father of their precious daughter whom they raised to be what she is right now. But this time he is not thin nor rugged dress anymore, he looked so decent.  The husband freeze at the door, as thoughts of fear runs through his head. “Is he here to get his daughter back? Will our daughter be able to forgive us if she knows that she was only adopted?” the husband couldn’t say a word.

“Good evening old friend, I would like to see my daughter, I believe she has become rich and famous”, said the visitor. “Papa? “, the daughter called. “Who’s our guest?” She asked curiously. The wife was also stun as she saw the visitor by the door. Both of the parents were scared to loose their only child. The husband then let the guest in and lead him to the living room. The girl slowly got down from the stairs looking at the guest with such familiarity like she knew the man before. “Good evening sir.” The girl greeted the man. The man looked at his biological daughter with so much joy and thrill in his eyes. “How nice to see you again my dear”, the man said warmly. When the girl was about to move closer to the man, the wife made a little intrusion by asking the girl to prepare a snack for their guest. The girl obeyed her mother and went to the kitchen to prepare food for their guest.

In the living room silence and heaviness embrace the atmosphere. The three parents didn’t say a word they only looked at each other, with a lot of questions running on their minds. Then the man broke the silence, “Listen, I didn’t come here to take away my daughter from you. I can see that she has a kind heart, and I’m so thankful for you both for raising her well. All I want is to see her. And I believe she has the right to know the truth about her birth, and I have a right to tell her that I’m her real parent”. The plates crashed at the floor. The parents was surprised to see the girl standing at the kitchen door, she heared what the man had said. With tears in her eyes, she questioned her parents,” is it true? I’m only adopted? And he is my real father?” her mom tried to comfort her but all she could do is cry as she reached for her daughter’s arm. Honey let me explain, she said. We love you so much that we don’t know how to tell you the truth, without hurting you. The mother explained. But the girl moved away from her mother saying, “it’s not fair, everything I’ve known and everything I am was a lie. And you! do you really think I could accept the truth so easily that you are my father after you abandoned me for many years? I hate you, all of you!!!” She cried as she run away.

Her parents, all three of them run after her. But her real father asked the couple to let him be the one to look for her. Don’t worry I promise to give her back to you the moment I found her, just give me a chance to be with her and talked to her for the last time. The man said calmly. Then the man looked for his daughter.

It was a cold winter’s night and the snow is falling gently from the sky. The girl got tired of running, she was shivering because of the cold weather. She saw a shade at the church’s entrance door. She sat at the stairs near the church’s door. There she bowed her head with her face on her knees she cried in confusion. Suddenly she felt somebody sat with her at the stairs. She wiped her bury eyes with tears as she raise her head to see who’s with her. She just cried more when she saw who’s with her. It was her biological father who sat beside her. “What are you doing here? Why did you came back after all these years that you abandoned me? She ask sobbingly. The man just looked at her and said nothing. Why cant you answer?!! I know you have your reasons for giving me up. But please tell me why did you do that? I’m so confused. Don’t you want me?” She asked while shivering as tears uncontrollably fell from her eyes. The man then gently hold her hand, and spoke slowly,”I’m sorry, but I have to let you go 16 years ago. I traded you for money because you were so sickly since the day you were born. The cause of that sickness was malnutrition. You see your mother died giving birth to you. Me as a mere janitor I cannot give you everything you need. Every month I rush you to the hospital cause of diarrhea. I don’t have enough money for your medication. My depth in the hospital was too great that the hospital management warned me, that they won’t accept you as their patient again until I pay them the bills. I was going crazy that time, I didn’t know what to do. I love you so much that I want to keep you, but if keeping you with me would mean losing your life, I’d rather give you to a family that could give you everything you need. The money that was traded for you, I used them to pay our depth at the hospital. The family that you have right now, is the one that you need for you to have a good life that you deserve. I only do what I think is best for baby girl. There is never a day that passed that I didn’t think about you. I watch over you from a distance, and I’m so proud on what have you become.” The man explained while tears fell down from his eyes.

The girl cried after hearing the truth. She felt grateful to her biological father for making the toughest decision just to keep her alive, and to her adopted parent for raising her well.  She then hugged her real father as she said thank you.

Her father then brought her back to her parents and bade them goodbye. The incident that night made them miss their 4 O’clock flight for the girl’s performance on the other state. The family decided to take the next flight, which will be on the next day.

At home the husband turned on the TV to watch the prime time news. He was astonished on what he saw on TV. The news said that the 4 O’clock plane which they were suppose to be on, crashed in the middle of its flight to the state that they were suppose to go. No survivors was found from the plane crash all of the passengers were dead. The family was shocked and also thankful to the Lord who sent the girls real father to cause the delay of their flight. Such a faithful coincidence they said.

The family then looked for the man to thank him, but they didn’t know his address. They went to the hospital where the girl was born, surely they have a record of the girl’s father. At the hospital another shocking news was given to them. According to the records of the hospital. The girl’s father died 16 years ago. After he paid his debt to the hospital. A car hit him as he crossed the street near the hospital. He was DOA when he was delivered to the emergency room.

The family could never believe what just happened to them. Who was that man who visited them last night? Is he an angel or a simple loving father who only wants to protect his baby girl?

Her lips simply said I always want you to be happy, do what you want, I’ll wait for you. Always take care of your self. I love you. The guy was happy because her girl supported his decision. Then the guy put a ring on her finger saying; I’ll come back for you, I’m doing this for our future, I’ll marry you when I get back. Before the guy left he ask the girls parents bravely that he want to marry their daughter when he gets back from other country. Then the guy left.

Months past the couple communicate through letters. The girl waited patiently for the guy, while the guy is looking forward to be with his fiancé very soon.

Days past when she recovered, she discovered that she couldn’t hear and speak anymore. She became deft and mute caused by the impact of the bump on her head. She cried in frustration; thinking I will be a burden to my fiancé. I don’t want him to marry a disabled person like me, he deserves someone better. So she requested her friends and family to hide her from the guy. She asked them never let the guy know what happened to her.

She wrote a letter to the guy saying that she is breaking up with him, that she doesn’t want to marry the guy anymore, she put the ring inside the envelope and mailed it to the guy. The guy was shocked as he read the letter, he cannot take the girls decision. He wrote back a hundred replies to the girl asking for the reason of their break up.

Until one day the guy decided to go back home. He looked for the girl in their house but he found out that the girls family moved to other place months ago. He never gave up looking for her he asked their old friends about the girl but will not tell him where she is. The girl learned the news from a friend that the guy came back home. How she longs to see him but instead she ask her friend not to tell the guy where she is. Until the guy gave up looking for her. He went away again.

One day one of their friends broke a news that the guy is going to be married. The girls heart was shattered upon hearing the news, she couldn’t help but cry. The friend showed the girl the guy’s wedding invitation. To her surprise the name of the bride that the guy is about to marry was hers. She couldn’t believe what she saw. Then the guy entered the room looked at the girl and gestured a signed language, I said I was going back to marry you didn’t I? I’m sorry it took so long for me to study sign language for you. Then he kneeled and gestured again ‘will you marry me?’ the girl simply nodded her head.

They got married after a month in a beautiful church, covered with blessings and enchanted by love. See love truly conquers all, the guy said as he kissed his bride.
